Dwight Howard on the move!

Standard

BIG NEWS!

The Atlanta Hawks have decided to move on from Dwight Howard and have sent him and the 31st pick over to the Charlotte Hornets for Miles Plumlee, Marco Belinelli & the 41st pick. This move is not as stunning as you’d assume, Dwight Howard did not have the outcoming of a great season like many thought he would once he entered the Atlanta area, averaging 13.5 points and 12.7 rebounds, which aren’t bad really at all, but he really doesn’t seem to be making too much of a difference for what he’s worth. On the other hand, Plumlee will probably either be released from Atlanta or he will be a role player, while Belinelli on the other hand, is starting to heat up, after being a late winner in that 3 point shooting contest, in 2014 which is also the same year he won his first ring with the Spurs. He’s a very nice player to have come off the bench and I believe he will have a significant impact for the Hawks.

His three-year, $70.5 million dollar contract was a very huge one for Atlanta to cover up, and for him to not be performing to the standards that they need, it was just time for them to move on. They’re clearly at this point starting their rebuilding revolution, and it’s going to be a long one. Last year, the team was strongly lead by Paul Millsap, the other big on the team. Millsap scored just outrageously and he played some phenomenal basketball for the Hawks, but with Dwight moving on over to the Hornets, him & Kemba may be able to cook up some chemistry.
